Grant's Pioneer Trek

During fall break in October, Grant was able to go on our stake's Pioneer Trek held on the Mogollon Rim.  All of the teenagers that went on the trip were divided up into families.  Each family had their own handcart to pull along the rocky roads.

Grant looks cold bundled up in his black sweatshirt and cowboy hat.
It rained and rained and rained the second day.  Grant is in the green poncho.
Grant has no idea why he is holding this pose.

This is a picture of one of the rocky roads all of the kids had to pull their hand cart up.  This looks REALLY tough!

This part of the trail was easier to navigate.
When Grant wasn't helping pull the handcart, he spent some quality time with his youth leaders.
 Time to eat!

It's nice to see Grant helping with the work.
The first night of the trek it rained.  Here are some cold wet kids warming up by the fire.
Ready to start the trek.  (I guess this should have put this first.)
