Christmas morning was very special. Mitchell, Perry and Grey came over around 9 AM for breakfast. We had Sticky Buns. It is our tradition to have Sticky Buns every year on Christmas morning. Grant requested that there be extra nuts this year. He was pleasantly surprised by the quantity of pecans covering our delicious meal! When breakfast ended, we headed to the living room to open presents.
Grey is ready to open some presents.
But first, Max needed to get some treats from his stocking.
Great-Great gave Grey a cute little stuffed animal. Grey knows how to give the best hugs.
Max worked on this bone for a good two hours!
Grey loves soft blankets (like her mom). Plus, this one also has a stuffed animal with it.
Grant has become the master bowl maker in his ceramics class at school. He made amazing bowls for each of us!
This is what you get when you tell Grey, "Show me your teeth!"
Lately, we have had these amazing chocolate covered almonds from Costco in our house. They are incredible. However, Brent stated that he would prefer cocoa covered almonds because the Costco ones had too much chocolate on them. His wish was granted Christmas morning!
Perry got a cute burlap sign for her kitchen.
When Grey opened this package of clothes, she stood up and started to say "eww, ahh" and rotated them around on the hanger. She is a natural fashion connoisseur.
Grey also likes to remove all of the stickers from her new clothes. She is very meticulous.
Mitchell and Grant take a break from unwrapping presents to give each other a hug! They are so cute! It's hard to believe they are 21 and 17 years old!
Kitchen supplies :)
Grey loves Elmo. This Elmo Hug book will be a hit with her for years!
Grey made gifts for her parents. She even decorated the gift bags herself.
Custom Grey art pieces.
Perry is VERY excited to start cleaning her house with her new vacuum/steam mop.
I really wanted my own drill. I can never find Brent's and Grant's is usually where it is supposed to be, but how can a woman live without her own set of tools? Thank you Brent!
Grey does not have a fear of heights!
Grey's BIG Christmas present from us...her own house!
She LOVED checking it out!
She rang the door bell a hundred times!
She liked playing "peek-a-boo" with her daddy through the window.
Later during the day, we delivered it to her backyard so she can play with it all of the time!
Christmas dinner was at Mitchell & Perry's house. Perry's grandma made a turkey, I made mashed potatoes, Perry's mom made a green bean casserole, and Perry made dessert. It was a wonderful feast!
Grey wore her beautiful Christmas dress to dinner. The bottom of her skirt is a picture of a winter landscape with a castle and ice skating.
This is Perry's new puppy, Diesel. He is a Huskey. Someday he will be huge.
Trying to get a picture with Grey smiling can be difficult. Grandpa Brent tried to help by playing "I'm going to get you!"
Grey has so much fun playing this game. She giggles and screams and tries to hide on me.
Grandpa Brent is hiding from Grey.
Now it is Grey's turn to hide.
What a wonderful Christmas day! We are so blessed with an incredible family to spend time with. We are truly blessed by having the gift of our Savoir Jesus Christ who we honor and reverence during this sacred time of year. Merry Christmas!
