Temple Square, SLC Utah

On December 26th, we visited Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah with the Neil Jensen & Barb Blanke families.  It was a cold snowy night.  I am the biggest weather baby so when the snow was blowing into my face, I, of course, complained that it was cold.  Brent just laughs at me and calls me a wimp!  Here are some pictures from that beautiful night visit.

 Grant is bundled up in his super winter coat.  He stayed warm :)

 The lights around the temple were amazing!  LOVED IT!

 We took a break inside the Tabernacle building to get warm.  

 Hannah, Amy and Ella are soooo cute.  The girls must have coordinated their winter outfits.

 This is the huge pipe organ in the Tabernacle building.  I grew up seeing this every time I watched General Conference on TV.

 Look at the building at the back of this picture.  You can see the statue of Jesus Christ.  Pretty amazing!

 A peaceful nativity scene was set up on the temple grounds.  The story of the nativity played from nearby speakers.  One can never tire of hearing the true story of Christmas.

 Brent did a great job getting a picture of me with Christmas lights and the temple.  He is so talented!

After enjoying the many, many lights, our little group headed over to Farr's for frozen yogurt.  Yummy!  We had no idea that the yogurt shop was right across the street from the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  We walked around an entire city block (almost) to finally find it!  The frozen treat was well worth the extra walking.
