Grant's Birthday Round 1

On Saturday, Grant and I drove up to Flagstaff to go to Macy's baby blessing and to spend some time with Sarah and her family. When Sarah realized that Grant's 14th birthday was a week a way, she insisted we have a birthday party for him. On Monday night, 8 of Grant's cousins gathered together to celebrate his birthday. We had a yummy chicken quesedilla dinner and then cake and ice cream.

Sarah wanted to make Grant a special Elmo cake. When there wasn't any red food coloring in the house, we opted to make it a purple Elmo cake. Can't you see the resemblance between this masterful creation and Elmo?
All of the party guests were under the age of 6. Grant had to feel very mature in their presence.
Yes, this is Grant acting very mature as he devoured his Elmo cake and ice cream.
When no one was looking, Andrew and Madison started to torture the remaining Elmo parts. They quickly ate his eyes then ate his arms without using a fork or their hands. It was quite a funny site to watch.
After cake and ice cream, all of the kiddos ran around the house chasing each other with guns and saying they were zombies. What a night of fun! I'm not sure if Grant will be able to top this fun when he has his friends over on Friday.
